Join us for the 2nd Annual Arvada Days where we invite you to take a walk back in time to those earliest days of Arvada.  Arvada has a long history in the Denver metro area and was a key community to our State’s gold mining history, earlier farming communities and helping to make Colorado the prosperous state that it is today!  We’ll step back in time to the mid-1800s (1850-1900) and celebrate the rich history that Arvada holds while also sharing those activities of the era and helping our community learn first-hand what it was like to live in Arvada during the “golden days.”

This event will kick-off Saturday with a chuck wagon breakfast (flapjacks, cowboy coffee and more) and then head into a full day of festival activities including: historical reenactments, pony rides, gold panning, costume contest with prizes for those best costumes of the era, baking contests, live music, kids activities and more!

The event will take place at one of Adams County newest parks – Clear Creek Valley Park – which boasts exploration and adventure play areas, a community garden, trails and pond fishing.  This park is located in Adam’s County, but did you know that several thousand of Arvada’s residents are in Adams County? To help make them feel at home, and in partnership with the Hyland Hills Park and Rec District, we’re combining our efforts to bring the old west back in style! It is also a short distance from Arvada’s first site of gold discovery. Clear Creek Valley Park was designed to commemorate Arvada’s rich agricultural and farming history and is a perfect location for this inaugural event since those county borders weren’t even set until after the turn of the century, anyway!

This can’t miss event is an opportunity to re-visit our roots and share some of the special memories of Arvada’s days past!

Parking: Yes, at the park
