Arvada On Tap – A Craft Beer & BBQ Fest

Join us for another round!  We’re celebrating craft beer and barbeque in a BIG WAY for its third year in a row! This is a festive outlet for craft beer and barbeque enthusiasts and anyone who wants to have fun! (Children are welcome since we will will have a kid zone for their entertainment.)

Taste a variety of ales, lagers, pilsners and other unique offerings from local and regional craft breweries.

BBQ your thing? Get your barbeque fix and talk to the professionals. The Kansas City Barbeque Society competition is back!

Meet your old friends and make new ones. Enjoy eating delicious food, shopping at vendor booths and dancing or listening to lively music from local bands.

Arvada on Tap: A Craft Beer & BBQ Fest is produced by the Arvada Festivals Commission and its community partners Arvada-Jefferson Kiwanis,  Arvada Sunrise Rotary, and Arvada Vitality Alliance.  All net proceeds will benefit these partners to support their local community projects.

Fun Activities!

Enjoy Craft Beer – Over 25 Courtesy of Colorado Community Mediacommercial craft breweries will offer samples and pours from their breweries.  Sample 3 ounce beers for $2 each and buy 12 ounce pours for $6 each.  For the best deal, purchase a “Sampler Pack” which includes a tasting beer mug and 10 tokens good for beer or food for only $10.

Special NoteTokens are available for purchase to buy beer and food (cash will not be accepted for these purchases).

BBQ: See how it’s done! –  Forty-two BBQ teams from across the country will vie for $10,000 in prizes and bragging rights in a grilling competition AOT pic 2sanctioned by the Kansas City Barbeque Society.  New this year, they will be offering tastings!  Thirty-two teams (and counting) will offer samples. Check out the BBQ Teams page for more information.

Homebrew:  Budding amateur brewers will have their homebrew submissions judged in a sanctioned Beer Judging Certification (BJCP) competition. Samples not available.

Colorado is known for many things, but the most important is it’s love for homebrew.  We are proud to present Jess Fierro, winner of the 2017 BEERLAND Competition on VICE!  For more information on this amazing opportunity, visit the HOMEBREW page.

Other fun stuff – Fill your day with live music by local bands;  great food from local trucks and carts; and shopping at community vendors selling craft foods, jewelry, apparel, brewing and barbequing items and outdoor activities.  Check out the Festival Schedule page for more information.

Bring your kids!  We will have a Kids Zone for you little ones to enjoy as you sip the deliciousness of summer beers and BBQ!  InFUNity will be selling tickets at the entrance of the Kids Zone for use of the area.

Raising Funds for the Community

Arvada On Tap – A Craft Beer and BBQ Fest is produced by the Arvada Festivals Commission (AFC).  We’re a group of volunteers appointed by the City Council to organize and produce nine annual celebrations and to help other organizations produce celebrations.  Check us out at

For Arvada On Tap, we’re partnering with three service organizations to raise funds for their community projects.  Members from Arvada-Jefferson Kiwanis Club,  Arvada Sunrise Rotary and Arvada Vitality Alliance partner with the AFC to plan and produce this celebration.  These organizations contribute funds and volunteer time to the following community efforts:

  • Several weekend food backpack programs for Arvada elementary school students
  • Scholarship speech contest for Arvada high school students
  • City of Arvada roadside cleanup program
  • Scholarship program for students with limited access to college
  • Arvada Santa House which provides free holiday gifts for families in  Arvada
  • Elementary schools reading program
  • Bell ringing for the Salvation Army
  • Annual pumpkin patch sales for Habitat for Humanity
  • Meals on Wheels program for seniors
  • Fundraising events for charitable and cultural organizations in Arvada
  • Week-long leadership training programs for junior and senior high students
