Arvada Press: Arvada Winterfest sees record attendance after move to Olde Town

Over 3,000 people poured into Olde Town Arvada for this year’s Winterfest multi-cultural celebration — 1,000 more than the typical average attendance of the event.
This year’s festivities took place Feb. 22 and saw the event move from its traditional location in McIlvoy Park to the Olde Town Square and surrounding streets, including Grandview Avenue and Olde Wadsworth Boulevard. The dual stages (one in the Square and one on Grandview) mirrored popular Olde Town Arvada Business Improvement District events like Second Saturdays.
Performances from McTeggart Irish Dancers, Mariachi Sangre Mexicana, Kalama Polynesian Dancers and a dragon and lion dance by the Colorado Asian Cultural Heritage Center highlighted the stages, while the Olde Town Library hosted an adult story time by the Red Feather Woman and an art demonstration by Cathy Frick.
