With the arrival of summer, Arvada residents are on the hunt for ways to cool off and relax. Luckily, there are numerous spots throughout town where you and your little ones can splash around, get wet, and beat the heat. Whether you prefer swimming pools, splash pads, or fountains, there's something for everyone. Check out our list of the best options in town!

INDOOR POOLS

Seacrest Wellness Pool (INDOOR) | 6820 W. 66th Ave.

This pool is available for wellness needs only. There is no playing, splashing or toys allowed. Perfect for anyone who needs a little hydrotherapy! The hours vary, so click the link and check the hours before you head over.

Apex Indoor Pool | 13150 W. 72nd Ave.

Apex is home to tons of indoor aquatic fun! The 23,000-square-foot indoor water park offers hours of fun for kids of all ages—no matter the weather outside! There are also activity swimming pools, a water park, a hot tub and four lanes of lap swimming.


OUTDOOR POOLS

Seacrest Outdoor Pool | 6820 W. 66th Ave

Once the temperature is above 65 degrees, this swimming hot spot is in business. Make sure you check out the rules and regulations – including ages for children to be able to swim without adult supervision - then prepare to have a fantastic day swimming! This pool also offers lessons, so you can get your non-swimmers signed up!

Lake Arbor Outdoor Swimming Pool | 7451 W. 83rd Way

Part of the Apex Recreation Center, the Lake Arbor outdoor pool offers a whole summers-worth of fun! Enjoy pool geysers and swim lessons, shade umbrellas and more. Plan on spending a full day because you’ll never be able to get your little water bugs out once they jump in.

Fitzmorris Recreation Center | 6340 Independence Street

Lessons, lane swimming and more, the Fitzmorris pool is another gem in the Apex crown. Take the kids for a day of splashing around, or head out on your own for some relaxation with laps and bobbing around. As with any facility, check hours and rules before heading out!


SPLASH PADS

Ralston Center Park Splash Pad | 5850 Garrison St.

From Memorial Day to Labor Day, this is THE spot to cool off! The park has 20 acres of trails and paths—perfect for working up a sweat before enjoying a little splash. With grassy areas, picnic tables and a playground, this could be a fun spot to spend the day this summer!

Olde Town Water Fountain | 5700 Olde Wadsworth Blvd in Olde Town Square

Need a quick burst of cool water? Try the Olde Town Water Fountain. Located right in Olde Town Square, this mini splash pad-esque water feature is just calling your name on a hot day. If you don’t want to commit to a day at the pool, you can get a little refreshment here.

Apex Center Splash Pad | 13150 W. 72nd Ave.

Leave it to Apex to have an option for those who need to cool down but aren’t quite swimmers yet. This dynamic splash pad offers an abundance of exciting spray and play elements for all ages. The unique, Apex-themed water tower not only promises hours of entertainment but also serves as a delightful homage to the Arvada community.
