Arvada native Jordan Alley teams up with culinary lifer Brandon Kerr to provide “elevated” cuisine

The idea for Stone Cellar Bistro — Arvada’s newest fine dining experience, located in the heart of Olde Town — didn’t come from years of planning, but rather the coalescing of two decades-long culinary careers.

Arvada native Jordan Alley first met Brandon Kerr when the pair worked at Z Cuisine in the Highlands neighborhood of Denver. After Z Cuisine closed, they split up and went to different restaurants, with Alley operating two food trucks and Kerr moving to South Carolina to run Husk.

Then, Kerr got a phone call from Alley that would change both of their paths.

“He asked me if I would move out here if he bought a restaurant and I was like, ‘yeah, ok, sure,’” Kerr said.  “I didn’t think anything of it. but he called me two days later and said he bought the restaurant.”
