Arts & Culture

The City of Arvada is committed to providing arts and cultural events throughout the year and supporting and showcasing art in public places.

With that goal in mind, the Arvada Center was founded through a unique collaboration between the citizens and government of Arvada and was dedicated on July 4, 1976. Since its inception, the Arvada Center has offered year-round concerts and performances in theater and dance; art exhibitions; a history museum; and classes in ceramics, dance, writing, acting, and the visual and musical arts. With more than half its patrons coming from outside of Jefferson County, the Arvada Center’s influence extends beyond its name, serving more than 350,000 visitors each year.

In addition, Arvada boasts originals such as the Arvada Flour Mill Museum, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and the Cussler Museum which showcases more than 100 vehicles ranging from 1906 to 1965 from all over the world.
