As a homegrown Coloradan, I’m always surprised by the charming little communities tucked away in my own backyard. It’s funny how once you’ve lived somewhere for a while, you get so comfortable with the familiar that you forget to be a tourist in your own state.
One summer weekend, my mother and I ventured to Olde Town Arvada, a quaint historic district in the heart of Arvada, approximately 10 miles from downtown Denver. With its old-school 19th-century buildings and cozy small-town feel, it’s a perfect mix of history, culture, and community.
